Hi there, nice to see you again.
It's been a while since I last posted on Youtube, I know. Adjusting to changes in my life has not come without difficulties and we still have to move house. Not exactly sure when that's going to happen because, to cut a (VERY) long story short, our new apartment has been deemed a bio-hazard and it needs to be stripped out, fumigated (is that the right word?) and be built again basically. And we still don't have dates confirmed for that...so seeing as this could take forever, I thought of coming back on Youtube with a simple video on how I sculpted a chocolate chip on a metal lid to decorate and upcycle glass jars...for now and see where this takes me.
The idea of making this video popped into
my mind ages ago after posting a picture of a chocolate chip cookie sculpture on a lid on Instagram and thinking it would make a nice (yummy!) video. But then other things (and ideas!) got in the way that in the end, after thinking I'd lost the cookie, I remembered I had thrown it away because I wasn't 100% happy with it. The chocolate chips in the "first" cookie are that, chips; whereas in the second one they are chunks. I think what I didn't like very much of the first cookie, is that the chips look too similar in size and there isn't enough gooeyness for my taste. I'd be interested in remaking the cookie with chips and apply a few changes I have in mind.
If you'd like to see me at work, you can watch the video that will premiere tomorrow on Youtube at 16.30.
Thank you so much for reading and I'll catch you next time.
Love, Mai
